what to do in Ubud
One of main attraction in Ubud is Monkey Forest, the sanctuary of Macaques, located around at the temple grounds at the southern end of Monkey Forest Road.
The sacred forest around the temple is the home of hundreds of macaques. While you enjoy watching them play on the ground, you better hide of your camera, glasses or jewelery (don’t let this be your expensive trip - by losing your precious!). And it is appreciated if you don’t feed them (although some will suggest you the opposite).
Ubud surround also offer you a great experience. Walking around the Campuhan Ridge or with mountain bike are one of the activities. Other attraction is bird watching at the Petulu Village, a mere 3 km to the north of Ubud where around 6000 egrets lives around the village. This place is good for photographer who loves nature shots. From ubud you also able to booking for Mt. Batur Trekking, a must do activities if you really love nature and a bit of sport. The weather will be much colder, prepare your camera, as the view of the sunrise is so spectacular. Ask for this activities in Ubud Tourism information - right at the central Ubud.
