The Nyepi day as A day of rest for Mother Earth
Inspired by the big incoming UN gathering in Nusadua Bali about global warming or UN Climate Change Conference, and relate to Balinese New Year, The Nyepi Day where every one stop their activities including to pollute the mother earth or the “day of silence”.
Some Balinese activists propose to adopt it as a Day of Rest for Mother Earth. As it is accidentally related to the whats going on to the weather right now. As we are already know that “Nyepi Day” is a Balinese Hindu New Year or Saka Year, a quite day to look back or self introspection.
As for my self, it is a great idea as we all the Balinese know that on the Nyepi day, the roads (known as part that contributes for the pollution) will stop for the whole day. Imagine that! the whole island without pollution, because no fire means no smokes, no smokes means no pollution! all day long we can breath fresh air in Bali.
And imagine this happens to all the country on Earth?? what will happen if can give a day for the Earth to heal her self for one day?? What do you think?

That’s a good thing
At least polluted air could get refreshed by our nature.
The most exciting thing in Nyepi is you can see a million of star without a telescope. I enjoy it very much

Imagine if the whole world have a Nyepi Day. It will definetely give Mother Earth a chance to heal herself.
Not just for the earth, but the people also will feel refreshed if they can get the spirit of Nyepi day. Anyway, it’s just an imagination.
