Jimbaran

I lived in Jimbaran when I was in college, part of Udayana is located in Bukit. I lived there for about 6 years, for almost that long I have enjoyed there, never had a problem or so.
Part of Jimbaran I like most is the beach, it’s streched from four Season resort to the north neighborhood Kedonganan, infact I also live in Kedongan for sometimes. It is more quite beach then the one that famous Kuta, but do you know this beach is the host of some luxury resort; Intercontinental Bali and Four Season. The other part of the beach is full of Seafood restaurant, facing the west horizone the visitor are enjoying the sunset while eating.
The Jimbaran people are genneraly welcome the visitor as they can makes money out of it. But to be honest, it was so hard to make friend with local people, although one of the girl from Kedonganan village was a memory of mine. I would like to thanks my one and only good friend (from Jimbaran) of mine, Alit.

Note for western tourists.
The restaurants have two menus one with prices for Indonesians and one with prices for western tourists.
I was here in April 2007 and the restaurants were almost empty so that the restaurant owners offered 40 - 45% reduction to western. One of the owners told me that this was the real price and he showed me the two menus.

Yes, it’s true, they put different price for tourist which I think is fare (sell the beach front view and the sunset), but … people can choose.
