Carrefour Bali opens this March!
According to todays local newspaper, Bali Post, the management of Carrefour Bali said that this hypermarket planned to be in operation this March, 2007. They are now still in full concentration to finish all the legal letter and administrations.
The total investment of this project almost reaching Rp 120 Milyar and will open new opportunity to hundreds of local supplier and jobs for local Balinese. The total area of this Hypermarket around 8000 meter square and will provides jobs of around 830 people. The corporate Affairs Director Carrefour Indonesia, Irawan D. Kadarman said, there will be no limitation for the number of suppliers to join Carrefour Bali and to make sure that there will be nothing to worries that this hypermarket will cause economical slide line for the local business.
Today, when I passed the sunset road, I saw they already put on the big logo of Carrefour but still covered. Still do not know the exact date of the grand opening.

Where is this hypermarket situated? Is it near Discovery?

Btw, Carrefour still not open until this time, i dunno why but will try to get more information about it.
Location? Do you know the Sunset Road? it is on that road, so abvious with huge building and its name facing the street. All taxi driver that road.

I am not sure, but if you interested, you can go to their address, which is in Sunset road, easy, ask the taxi driver, they will know.
I also heard that Carrefour Bali has already open like two days ago! if I am not mistaken.

Grand opening was on 3rd of May 2007 at 09:30 am. Unofficially opened on 26th of April.
Just happened to be there. The supermarket is on the upper floor. Has parking space at each floor.
Has also an east end entrance.
Situated at Sunset road suburb GELOGORCARIK, at the south end of the Sunset Road.

Carrefour is now open. I was there on 28 april 2007. I don’t know if it is a good thing because their prices will be lower than inthe warungs, which means that many warung owners will go bankrupt. There for tourists should not buy there.
