Bali’s traditional market
Traditional market is one most visited when visitors come to visit the capital city of Bali Province, Denpasar. There are two big markets open almost 24 hours, the busiest market in Bali, Pasar Kumbasari and Pasar Badung.

Both are known as the oldest Traditional Market in Bali, it was there before the city itself. Traders sells almost anything that Balinese house ware, offerings, tools, foods, cake, vegetables, fruits. I suggest you to visit if you would like to taste a bit of our traditional food and cakes. Well most travel agent do not suggest this because they not sure about the hygienist of the food. But there is nothing wrong to try just a piece, it won’t kill you.

Picture above is rice cakes, with palm sugar inside, sweet!, and colored by natural ingredian (suji leave). Read comments about this cake here in Flickr.
When I was in college, with friends we used to go to this market to buy what we called “nasi Jinggo”, a small nasi with spicy chicken wrapped in banana leaves. Hot, but we love it so much until now. They only sell “nasi Jinggo” around mid night.

Nasi Jinggo, hot & spicy.
