Bali Villa Rental …

May 10th, 2007 Posted by Dee

Villas in Bali is like a mildew, spreading all over the island, slowly but sure. Starts from the south of Bali to the east, Karangasem. Some of them is for resting place because their villas is facing the ocean or rice farm/terrace, but most of them is also for rental.

Even in a remote places like Manggis, Tulamben in Karangasem regency, villas is everywhere. Don’t even mention some place like Uluwatu which is famous with its clean beach, surf wave, and spectacular sunset, villas is dominate the entire front beach, taking over the local’s land.

The Good point is the villas provides local with jobs, security service is common, nanny, gardener, or perhaps wife? … may be. This is good concerning that the number of unemployed people is high in Bali especially in Indonesia.

Bad point, decrease the lands property for Balinese themselves, taking over the farms and turns it into the villas complex. As we all know, Balinese religion is depend on nature (coconut leaves for the offering - now is imported from Java), The price land are so high, locals will not afford to buy only a small house and piece of land.

Don’t know what’s gonna happen in the next few years. Hope and pray!

Transgressors must pay small fines to the local village council.

My reverie every year at Nyepi is to imagine this day of silence catching on worldwide.”

That was a piece of the article I found … click here to read
