For Movies Lover

April 9th, 2007 Posted by Dee

Visiting the island of the God on your holiday to enjoy the tropical scenery or colorful ceremonial, it doesn’t mean you will lose the opportunity to watch your long waiting Box office movie.

Yesterday I watched “The illusionist”, a movie of a magician that falling in love with a duchess. It’s a good movie, specially at the end of the movie, you’ll be suprise. Ok this movie suppose to be played along time ago (2006), I don’t know why it play now. Some movies are coming late, some movies are played even the same day as in America.

Yes, in Bali (Denpasar/Kuta) there are two places to see movies. The best and the cleanest place is 21 Cineplex, The Official Indonesia Cinema Movies, in Simpang Siur together with Matahari Bali Mall, Planet Hollywood, and Galleria Duty Free. The ticket is pretty expensive, but Rp 25,000, it’s OK for a good quality sounds and service. Don’t forget to buy popcorn, drinks, just inside of the building, and good toilets for ladies and gents.

Days of Ceremonies

April 5th, 2007 Posted by Dee

About four days ago, I went to Negara (capital town of Jembrana’s Regency) to attend my Family’s Temple anniversary for the year 2007. I was also considered my self to be lucky enough not to get caught in the rain because I was riding my red motorbike, it seems that the rain stop for letting Balinese do their ceremonial.

My family’s temple is located near the mountain at the Nusa Mare Village in Yeh Embang district, road to this village is good, asphalted, small car and motor bike is going smoothly on it. The view to the real tropical forest is so amazing and close to the village. This village is also close to the beach, and the popular temple of Rambut Siwi. The ceremony was going well, but it was a hot day with only bit of cloud. First round is the Mecaru then everybody pray under the lead of the priest. I also notice that that day, (Anggarkasih Dukut - balinese calendar day) was also found some temple anniversary. And two days after ( 4 April ) is a good day for Ngaben Ceremony, I several time have to stop by the police who also guarding the Ngaben along the road of Gilimanuk - Denpasar. And today 5th April, I meet Ngaben too on my way to office.

For my brother c-toz in Hawaii, hope that you were also pray on that day. distance is not a matter right?
