It is a fact that most tourist leave the island without having eaten one single, genuine Balinese food.
Most of the Restaurants in tourist area serving western food and Indonesian dishes, only a few of them make the effort to serve authentic Balinese recipies.

There is one good website with a search feature for all restaurant in the island: Balieats.com

Each of the result will be completed with the restaurant review of the author also with the price and recommended menu.

Today I have found this in flickr, and happy to share it with you. In the picture is the sea view from one of Bungalows in Tulamben. The area of Candidasa is one of the main destination for east Bali, and famous destination for diving site.

Candidasa is around 2 hours drive from Denpasar. The main attractions of this place are underwater, and one of the most awesome dive spot of Bali.
The wreck of the USS Liberty from the year of World War II is very popular with underwater photographer as it is now totaly encrusted in anemone, gorgonians and corals.

There are wide range of accommodation available in this area along the sea front, or in the nearest spot like Amed.

This place is popular with its dive site, Amed, as you can see in the picture the water is crystal clear.

Located east side of Bali of Karangasem Regency (90km east Denpasar). To try this dive site is not a problem, in Bali we have many diving company with international certificate. I recommend Aquamarinediving, they are very professional.

There are also some other places which is very good also such as, Gili Tepekong, Tulamben (with the USS ship wreck). I will try to give you information about them soon.
