I have visited the place several times, and as a Hindu’s follower I cannot only just visit the place like a tourist but also to come and pray to God.

This photos was taken when there was a big ceremony in Tanah Lot called Ulian Macekan Agung (only people from Tabanan know what’s the meaning of this). Thanks to Farl for shooting this.
There is also a myth that when you visit this temple must be with friend or family, or alone, but if you come with your girl/boy friend, we believed that the relationship will no longer, alias broke-up.

So which one do you choose, I let you decide …

Traditional Bull Race - Jembrana

Only in the west side of Bali the place of where I saw the light for the first time, this race is called by the Balinese “Makepung”. The race can only be seen during the Paddi’s Harvest season in July and October.

The race is held on a course and the riders ride in a cart pulled by two water buffalos. The course is two kilometers in length. The races are pretty exciting and present a riot of spectacle with the buffalos decorated colorfully and the winners hailed loudly. The events are organized and sponsored by the local government in order to promote the local tourism industry.

West Bali is rarely visited by tourists outside the buffalo racing season and accordingly offers a glimpse of the real Bali.

Batu Belig - Bali - Paddi’s harvest season

July 27th, 2006 Posted by Dee

Padi’s farmers in Bali are now enjoying the harvest this season begin from end of this July and the August of this year 2006. Back to the time when I was teens, my dad had almost 1 hectare of Sawah (rice field). I still now can smell padi, and the dirt of 15 years ago. Appreciate the nature is the result of it, I love the smell of the wood rather then a smeel of perfume.

Today I pass the road to the office where all the paddies field is turn to yellow, the gradien of it is so nice, then I decided to take some picture. At the moment only few, will try to get more of it.
